Financial snapshot of Regenera Deià
This page provides a brief update on the current status of Regenera Deià, together with a transparency snapshot as the project moves from its foundation and alignment phase into implementation.
Over the past months, the initiative has focused on building partnerships, establishing governance structures, and creating the operational base required to deploy resources responsibly. With this groundwork now in place, the project is beginning its first on-the-ground actions across the territory.
Indicative breakdown by pillars
We are pleased to report that all seed funding tranches have now been secured, with the exception of the Water pillar, which is well on track and expected to close in the coming weeks.
At this stage, expenditures have been intentionally limited while final agreements and implementation pathways are being completed. Funds are being held securely in preparation for the first phase of on-the-ground implementation.
All funds are held by Fundació Iniciatives del Mediterrani (FIM) and Mallorca Preservation Foundation (MAPF) and are earmarked exclusively for Regenera Deià.

Phase 1: Kick Off
The initial seed funding for Regenera Deià is currently supporting the development and early implementation of key projects across the territory. At this stage, work is focused on project design, technical studies, partnerships with local stakeholders.
The first phase of Regenera Deià focused on activating the project locally through community engagement, partnerships, and the first on-the-ground actions. This stage included outreach and communication with residents and stakeholders, helping to build awareness, secure funding and gain support across the community. At the same time, technical studies were initiated, coordination with landowners and local actors began, and the organisational foundations of the project were developed. This included establishing collaboration frameworks, governance structures, and the operational setup required to support the project’s implementation, including team coordination and office space.
*All Phase 1 funds have been secured, with the exception of €29,000 still pending for the water section. Please contact us if you are interested in supporting this component.

Phase 2: Consolidation
With implementation now underway, we are opening the second funding window to accelerate key initiatives across Deià’s territory.
The second phase of Regenera Deià focuses on the implementation and expansion of the initiatives developed during the initial stage. Building on the groundwork established in Phase 1, this phase will scale landscape restoration actions, expand forest management and wildfire prevention interventions, and advance regenerative land management across the territory. It will also consolidate community governance structures and shared spaces such as the community garden, while activating economic initiatives including the local Regenera Deià brand and value chains linked to agriculture, forestry, and land stewardship. Together, these actions aim to translate the project’s planning and pilot initiatives into a broader transformation of the territory, strengthening ecological resilience while generating long-term social and economic benefits for the community.
